Shelby Brown first hit the airwaves in 2003 with a compact disc entitled Miracle a project that he and guitarists Dee Brown collaborated on. Miracle landed them the number 7 spot on the DMX Smooth Jazz Chart for 6 weeks.

In 2005, Shelby released his first solo project entitled No Boundaries which generated a buzz from Detroit to Singapore. After taking time off for fine tuning. Shelby released a bombshell to the jazz genre entitled The Meaning of Life in the summer of 2010. The Meaning of Life charted in the top 50 on smoothjazz.com for 20 weeks, and is currently holding the number 15 spot on the Smooth Indie Star Smooth Jazz Charts. In June of 2010, Shelby became the proud endorser of L. A. Sax which he shares with Grammy Award winning sax-man Kim Waters.

In addition to sharing the stage with some of the best and most famous musicians in the industry such as Marion Meadows, Tim Bowman, Alex Bugnon, Bob Baldwin, Nick Colionne, Spyro Gyra, & Nelson Rangell, Shelby has performed internationally for the United States Military. Entertaining Troops serving in Japan, Korea, Diego Garcia & Singapore.
